Is this a "true" Lebron Rookie Auto
Hey, I'm trying to find a Lebron Rookie Auto (but a "true" one, not one from a insert set) so I was wondering if this is a true rookie auto

and if so, from what set. Do you guys have any suggestions on Lebron RC Autos I can get for 500 or less that are true? Or maybe not a true one if it's too expensive, but one you think will grow in price the best?

no sorry, thats not a "true auto rookie" like what you are lookin for
thats 03 04 UD Top Prospects, kinda like Upper deck's version of a Press Pass
when that product came out, i dont think the draft had even occurred haha

I think it is a true rookie set. The set is composed of all rookies except Jordan and Kobe.

Yeah, that's not his true rookie auto, but rather one of his first certified autographed insert card to hit the market. It's probably unlikely that you'll find one of his true rookie autographed card for $500 and under. You'll most likely have a better chance of grabbing one of his first year autographed insert card for that much or less.

the whole product of this set is all about Rookies.....
but not sure if they were classified as True rookie cards or not....

Like the other's said, that is not what you call a true rookie auto It is a Rookie "Year" auto but not a "True" rookie auto, a "TRUE ROOKIE AUTO" is when the auto is listed under the "BASE" set and not a subset or insert set for Example SPX in 03-04 his rookie auto/jsy was part of the base set and not an insert so that is clasified as a True Rookie Auto, Top Prospects 03-04 is like they said a Press pass type of card Very Low end although the auto's of the top players can run a good amount of cash the rest are pretty low and if you want a True Rookie auto of Lebron im sorry $500 prolly wont get you anything of his True rookie auto's but can easily get you an insert rookie year auto of him so good luck and i hope this helps.

None of those are True Rookie auto's im sorry to say, all those are insert auto's, Sp Signature Edition Lebron Rookie would look like this......

so you can obviously see on his True rookie auto look at the value he has it at although it is spiked but dont look to pay under $800 or more for something like that.

do you think it might be more worthy to buy a lebron james like chrome refractor rookie card? or a black refractor or xfractor instead? The only thing is if players get bad, autos at least still have some value because they're autos but rookies basically are worth crap if something happens to the players.
lmk what you think about this decision
