I'm disappointed in LeBron here. Yes, it's frustrating to lose - but that doesn't mean that during postgame, you can't be a sportsman and acknowledge the other team's accomplishments. I agree with Renegade.

Plus, everyone can tell from my username that I am a LeBron fan, so these aren't the words of a hater. :)

All he had to do was just go slap the guys on the other teams *** and walk off like he did (which he probably could've done while Orlando was just holding the last 20 seconds)...

i have read this whole thread and thought it was pretty interesting....
i would have to say that LeBron needed to man up and congratulate the magic

i'm surprised nobody has brought up the point of when the "bad boy" detroit pistons were finally beaten by the bulls in i think the conference finals, and the only person to shake hands with the bulls players was joe dumars
that pistons team showed terrible sportsmanship and is still remembered to this day nearly 20 years later

things like what lebron did after defeat won't go forgotten like that pistons team.....it shows very bad character for a person that wants to be a world celebrity and for a person who is looked up to by many

yea, some of us werent born yet :)

Stern now wants to set up a meeting and talk with James about his actions that night, both with not congratulating the other team as well as not talking to the media

I did love his quote on during the interview when they asked him about it

    "I'm a winner"

Clearly you are not LeBron. Or shaking hands would have been a little easier. I can understand being upset but you should still do it no matter what. Heck Big Ben sat in the background while NBC interviewed David Garrard after he beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs in Pittsburgh just to say good game and shake his hand. I can't stand Ben, but that got a lot of respect out of me.

The kids looking up to him excuse is kinda weak in my opinion. It isn't like he flipped off the Magic players or cussed them out or anything, he simply walked away and said nothing to the media. I doubt half of the kids that look up to Lebron payed that much attention...they were probably too upset that he had lost to notice that he had walked off without doing anything.

Now, if he had gone and flipped the Magic players off or were yelling stuff at them trying to start something, you'd have a point about being a bad influence to kids. But he did nothing, he just walked away quietly. I doubt that any kid will simply walk off the field or court whenever they lose a game now just because Lebron did it.
