Best 05/06 Box for value (and Crosby)

I tried a few searches but found many varied opinions on this:

I am looking to find a Crosby rookie, but if I do not luck out, what would be some nice sets that provide good value and return?

sorry, im just a big noob and have no idea what to look for. i havent regularly collected for 10 yrs!

Hi there, if you are looking for a good 05/06 box with a decent chance of Crosby RC and something fun and good i would try Parkhurst 05-06. It will have rookies, and chances for autographs and the really cool 8 jersey cards. It can be had for around $45 a box and is a good fun break in my opinion.

If you have deeper pockets there are lots of options but this gives you a good chance of an RC and I really like it!

I like Parkhurst, it's very affordable. You have a chance at a card that has 8 JSY swatches on it. If you buy hobby you get one auto and a ton of RCs, if you do retail you will get an auto and a ton of rcs...another option is MVP.

so hobby and retail are the same?

Basically yes, but I'd go with retail, why spend $15 more for a CHANCE to get a decent hit? You have a CHANCE of getting the same card in retail. Retail costs less and basically gives you the same stuff for cheaper. The main difference is that retail does not have the Facsimille parallels /100. I opened a box of retail and didn't get one. SO, either my box just didn't have one and they're supposed to have them or they aren't in the retail period. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Crosby is a tough pull in Ultra as he was one of the SSP's that fell one a case.

I also think you should avoid MVP as the rookies were redemptions IIRC

I opened a decent box of parkhurst that had both a Crosby and an Ovie RC so needless to say the $35 CAN I paid for the box was money well spent.

and the same seller had a 06/07 UD Beehive which i got for $25.

so both boxes combined will be about $55 shipped.

hopefully I get a Crosby, Malkin, and Staal!
