Question for Lakers fans (and bandwagoners).

Was Kobe's elbow to Jameer Nelson a foul? Should it have been called a foul? If not, why? Enlighten me folks.

Because it was accidental contact and Nelson flopped. Should Gasol have been called for a foul when Howard pushed him to the ground?

Please do not try to put this on the refs.

I do agree there were some terrible calls both ways and just as many terrible noncalls. What do you expect alot these officials were refereeing before there was a three point line. I just want to see th game cleaned up and called more evenly, refs shouldn't have their own style of whats a foul. You can't call something a foul on one end of the court in the first half, then come the second half the samething isn't a foul. I couldn't imagine trying to play defense in the NBA when the rules change as you go.

Not it wasnt a foul, he didn't do it on purpose. he was just trying to get into the lane and Nelson got in the way.

Same thing happened in the lakers/kings series back in the day, when kobe elbowed Mike Bibby. It wasn't a foul then and it isn't a foul now.

That's the best i have Ash

Its not the refs faults. It is the players, and the league. They are allowed to get away with so much that it is impossible to ref a game now.

How was he showing them up? He knew they were gonna come foul him so he wanted to put the ball in the basket so he didnt have to shoot free throws, but dumb pietrus came and fouled him anyways

The game was over, he dunked it with what 2 second on the clock with a 7 point lead. You hold onto the ball. Heck in old school ball if you did that you would have got put on your backside. Its not different then when Dwight Howard shot a three at the end of one of the games they won, its stupid and its disrespectful. Of course Dwight Howard even attempting anything outside 8 feet is amusing.

Yes, Dwight should have been called for a foul not Fisher.

But that accidental contact is a foul. Its been called a foul plenty of times. The commentator even said the Lakers got away with one there.

I'm not putting anything on the refs. I want the honest truth on what Lakeres supporters think about that play. You really didnt' answer my question though. Nelson didn't flop. Perhaps you should watch the contact again.
