This is might be kind of a dumb question, what are some of the better players' rookie cards from this list? I am kind of looking for good value in these rookies and what i should be getting.

Well, I guess that depends on what you like...some people only like numbered or only high end, some like the more basic stuff. I tend to prefer the Chromes and nice mid-ends like Classics, Elite, Ultra. Here are what I consider some of the better cards of the better players from the list:
