With the 17th pick of the NBA draft, the 76ers select......
TY LAWSON
Birthday: 11/3/87
NBA Position: Point Guard
Class: Junior Ht: 6-0
Wt: 197
Hometown: Clinton, MD
High School: Oak Hill Academy
The 76ers while they have Andre Miller, he isnt getting any younger and they may choose not to resign him, however as a veteran PG, he can help Lawson before he may be given the job as starting PG. Lawson is a fearless PG who avoided major injuries as he lead UNC to another championship. He can get to the rim and is great at pushing the ball in transition...
Lawson needs to work on getting his shot down, he has a slow release and doesnt put much on the shot, his mid and long range shot can improveHidden Content

With the 18th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select:
Tyler Hansbrough
6'9" 234 Ibs Foward from the University of North Carolina
Reason: Projected to go as high as 12th in some drafts..we are fortunate Mr Hansbrough dropped a little bit. As reigning player of the year he will fit in well we think. His game is developed and is a good finisher in traffic. He shoots the ball well from the 16-17 foot range and his free throw % is up there (84 %). Big Al will have to take him under his wing but we feel that Tyler was the player to go with.Last edited by knucklez23; 06-23-2009 at 11:22 PM.

I agree with the Wolves taking Hansbrough - the down side to him is he is another PF on a center-less team (Wolves), but I do like the idea of the Wolves having him.

With the 19th pick in the 2009 NBA draft the Atlanta Hawks select:
Patrick Mills, 6 foot 180 lbs PG from St. Marys U
Reason: We feel that the 2009 year will be a very successful year for our organization and Patty just puts the cherry on top. He is very quick, hes a great passer so he can get open shots for Joe, Marvin, and Mike. He also is a solid defender. Mike Bibby will still reign the point (for now) but we hope Pat will be a solid contributor as a rookie this season.
