    I just feel it was a bad offer over all, boston must not have their heads on straight. Thats Just my personal opinion though.

    This would be the worst deal in franchise history, Allen is old, Rondo while is a good passer doesnt have a good shot at all, and Stuckey hasnt even begun to show his talent, Boston...what a bunch of quacks

    Don't be surprised to see a trade happen but on a samller level. The Celtics must think that Rondo is what he is because of their system. They are tyring to cash in on his value now, but they really want to unload Ray and pick up a younger version (RIP) I think Prince is the deal breaker. If they can find a way to make the deal happen without Prince why wouldn't both teams do it. Celtics start off asking high but know they won't get all of that. Former NBA players as GM's = lots of trades.

    No, Rondo has an attitude problem and is stubborn according to ESPN, he gets in fights with coaches and teammates, meaning he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips now and has a big head..certianly dont want that on my team...

    and there is no way either team will do it with/without Tayshaun, Tayshaun while his stats arent huge, is a good defender, shooter and overall player, Stuckey's potential is much higher than Rondos in my opinion...

    End case Pistons had Rasheed they dont want another guy like him..

    Heard about this on ESPN this morning - quite interesting, really...Jeremy, you said that they are looking to rebuild? I don't see it as that, as rebuilding is trading away your top player(s) - these are top players 3 and 4, as Pierce and KG are both better than either Ray or Rondo...but, what doesn't make sense to me is trading away Rondo - I understand he has attitude issues, but why trade away such a great young talent, especially with KG, Pierce and Allen aging...but, Boston would get Stuckey and Prince in return, both of which are fairly young.

    Another thing that is quite odd to me is that while Ainge is saying that they aren't trying to trade Rondo because of behavior issues, and that they are only looking to make the team better, yada yada yada, this is at least the 2nd trade proposal involving Rondo - the other one being Rondo to Sacramento for the 4th overall draft pick.

    Agree about the Rasheed complex, but disagree with Stuckey having a better upside. He was asked to lead the team at point this year and IMO failed. In the Eastern Confrence there is no way a team that has Sheed, Prince, Rip, Stuckey, McDyess should barely get in the playoffs and get embarassed like they did. Time to change. If you're the Pistons and can keep Prince and add Rondo and Allen your team is already better. IMO the Celtics would make a trade that didn't involve Prince because they would be getting younger at both positions. Plus Allen's contract will soon be up and thus more money to spend.

    However you forget about Iverson being in that lineup which i think messed up Stuckey big time, he is in his first full season playing on a team that lost there leader, i think you also forget Hamilton and Sheed missed extended amounts of time with injury, so while you blame Stuckey remember all the issues on this team..

    Ray Allen is a streaky shooter at this point of his career, which i dont want on my team, Rondo cant shoot a jumper to save his life, he gets into the lane but shoots poorly from the free throw line for a PG, more importantly, we would have no consistent shooter on the team aside from Tayshaun who averages 15 points per game

    I honestly think former NBA players feel like they need to make big monster deals to have an impact. Every team that made a huge deal in the last 2 or 3 years has a former player as GM.
    Celtics=Ainge, Pistons=Dumars, Cavs=Ferry, Suns=Kerr, Bulls=Paxton, Knicks=Thomas
    Bobcats=MJ. Twovles=McChale. The only one I can think of is the Lakers.
