Interview with Upper Deck
Hey all,
As some of you know, I will be attending the National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland at the end of July and I have an interview scheduled with Upper Deck for the SCF magazine. While I have my own questions to ask, I would be grateful if you could let me know by replying to this thread what you would like to be asked to UD.
Thanks all!

How has the contract with Panini America affected their exclusive rights to current and former superstars? Will UD continue to sign top NBA talent over the next 3 years?
What, if any, lessons has UD learned from the redemption card replacement fallout? What measures are in place to prevent or minimize the replacements in the future?
Are there any plans to release an NCAA product line in the future?
Those are burning questions I have. I'll try to think of more during my zen time.
Have fun at the convention!

I have a question about there pricing methods as a whole they are suppose to be a price guide yet they provide pricing on very little except base cards
hard to find and high value cards are left out id like to see them accually price the cards and not just put not priced due to scarcity (1/1,printing plates,etc..)also the only reference they have for grading is the paper copy and unless the card you grade is one of the ten stars they actually list you wont know or be able to find its price.and lastly when are they going to realize this version of there website sucks and they need to go back to the old version
PS. HAVE FUN

Will they let Panini have their exclusive players sign for them?
Cause, next few years might be horrible for the basketball hobby if there is no chance of pulling a Kobe, LeBron, or a Jordan auto.

Ask them if they will be making anymore basketball sets in 2010 because I thought they lost the rights to panini.

Do they still have an NBA license to sell (autographed and non-autographed) memorabilia? If so, does this override Panini's ability to produce autographed cards of players under contract with UD?

Because it all depends on what collectors want to pay. With less rare cards there is a stable market value of them that can be depended upon. But with 1/1's you cannot compare them to anything else and it is all up to what people want to pay for that exact card because there is only one in existance.
