That was just luck for the USA team. They are going to loose to Brasil in the Finals. SA does not have a chance against Brasil. Also, they are not going to do so good in the Wrold Cup , if they make it

The just beat Egypt and then Spain. In South Africa. A spain team who was rested and didn't have to travel. Spain had many great looks and had some great shots and still came away scoreless. I don't think you can got 90 minutes plus without giving up a goal to the best team in the world and call it luck. Spain hasn't let up a goal in how many straight minutes like 400 plus. And we put two in on them. Again, I don't know how you call that luck. They had a 35 game winning streak, one away from a world record, and we beat them. I'm glad you think all of this is luck. But if so, it took a lot of luckiness to win but if you ask me, we just outplayed them.

We had even less chance against Spain...they were #1 in the world.

That was a great game...great pressure in the first half, lots of good shots...outstanding goalie play and defense in general in the second half. The second goal was just a defensive let down...that cross should have been cleared relatively easily. Great game and great win for the USA program.

I don't think soccer will ever be huge in America. It really is a great sport...it's more physically demanding and requires as much or more skill than just about any other sport. Yes, football is rougher, but you play 3-10 seconds and then take a 30-40 second break...try going non-stop for 45 minutes at a time. And anyone who thinks "just kicking a ball around" doesn't require a boatload of skill, just try doing the simplest of soccer moves and see how easy it is...let alone the amazing things these people do on a regular basis. People are more naturally adept at using their hands than their feet, so basketball and baseball are much easier to pick up. But anyway, back to my point, the largely negative attitude towards soccer aside, there are too many other sports that are already established and popular to soccer to become very big in America. Other nations where soccer is THE sport usually don't have football, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, etc to compete with, or at least not on the level of America.

argh, can't believe they blew it. Man it was a good game though. That was a fun one to watch...USA playing the first half and Brasil only playing the second haha. Very happy to see them put in 2 against Brasil. Spain was a better team we just didn't play well at all in the second.

Hopefully it encourages other young players to come and play for us. Like Rossi.
