Charlie Villanueva is an unrestricted FA...
Great news for Cavs fans! I know we've been targeting CV31 for a while, and the Bucks made it official today that he's an UFA.

Looks like the Bucks don't want him...which is fine by me! Come to Cleveland, Charlie!

No offense, but I think Charlie wants more than the MLE.
Also, I'm not a big fan of his game. There were some Rockets fan that wanted to trade Landry for him.
I just don't like his chuckster mentality. Whether or not he's hitting his shots, he'll chuck up more and more.
Some coaches (especially Skiles) probably hate the idea of having him on the team.

Maybe, but if he wants a real good shot at a Championship he'll take the 5.8 million and come to Cleveland. If he wants more, I'm sure he'll get it...but it'll be with a team that has no shot of winning a title.

Good player to pick up for any team, especially one that needs depth, or a starter, at PF.

He's already said he'd love to play in Cleveland, the Cavs really want him, LBJ wants him in Cleveland, and him and LBJ have played together before and absolutely killed the opposition. It looks like the Cavs will be picking up CV31!! :)
CV31 would be HUGE for the Cavs and he'd be a ton better than any bigs the Cavs have ever had since LBJ has been on the team.

This is OT a bit, but who'll be the starters if he is signed? They have Z, Shaq and Varejao, then Charlie V if they get him...would Z be demoted to the bench, and start Shaq and CV in the frontcourt?

None of those teams would give him a long term contract though.
Big deal....Z will get over it. You don't pass on a solid PF (something the Cavs truly LACK) just because he choked a Cav in the past season.

Shaq and CV would start....Z would come off the bench, and most likely, some team will extremely overpay for Andy and he'll leave Cleveland. I'm sure he won't take what we'd offer him, especially since Oklahoma City has said they'd pay $11 million a year for Andy.

yeah exactly, Shaq and CV start with Z and Varejao coming off the bench. First off about the choking incident, it was Varejao pulling another one of his huge flops (worst one of his i've EVER seen) with Big Z coming in starting crap like always when things get started because of a Varejao flop. I applaud CV for not backing down!!!! Now if he goes to Cleveland, he will get both Big Z and Varejao back by starting over them! lol
