I don't think Kovi will sign but i really wish ! He's still the best Canadiens player . The way he scored Tim Thomas ! ( I hate Thomas and Bruins haha ) But , i am happy that Gomez and Gionta , Cammallleri , Spacek signs . But if there is remain 10 millions $ , why Bob don't sign Kovi or Tanguay ? Because he wants a Defensemen ? Just to recall P.K Subban ! If Gainey signs Kovi , my team will be awesome and they will have the team to win right ?

Unfortunately Price has a lot to prove after last year, hopefully he can bounce back because he's a nice young talent. Gill is an average player but gets props because of his size.

I guess you would say that with your user name being what it is.

I also hope it is him. Hoping he has a better year than last not just because I have pulled a few good cards of his(for trade) but feel that there was way too much pressure put on him. Another year older and wiser should help him but if he falters then Halak is still there to step in. I think

    There's no "hope".

Carey Price has been number one in Montreal since Huet was booted outta town.

There's $8.8M left in cap space but there's that matter of the RFA's agreeing to their qualifying offers. In all likelihood, Latendresse, Plekanec, etc. will take up most of the remaining cap dollars and leave enough for maybe one more signing. You can pretty much wave goodbye to Kovalev, Tanguay, and unfortunately Koivu.

The team has definitely been overhauled and personally I'm willing to give the new look a chance, unlike many of the nattering nabobs of negativity at Habs Inside/Out, who have been dumping all over Gainey before a single game has been played. I'm more than fair - they have 5 games to prove it to me. :)

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

    Exclamation

I agree Richard. Geez those HIO members are fickle. In one day the Canadiens got younger, faster and in all likely hood more points. Yet they still complain.

I hate to see Koivu just leave with no fanfare, and Bob may have dropped the ball in that move, but he'll be honored one way or another.

Plecs, and the Kostitsyn brothers better pick up there game this season.

The Hockey Gods weren't going to have Koivu break Beliveau's Captain streak. (sigh)
