Report: Celtics offer MLE to Rasheed Wallace
ESPN is reporting that the Boston Celtics have offered free agest Rasheed Wallace a two-year contract for the mid-level exception. According to ESPN, Rasheed is in no hurry to sign a contract yet. More to come later in SportsCenter...

Boston had to do something to try and keep up with Cleveland/Orlando's signings....Rasheed is still fairly solid though. Would be a good bench guy for Boston.

Geeze the East will just be three teams very soon. It's going to be a great Eastern Conference Semi-Finals

Only one of the conference semi-finals will be great. The other one is going to have a clear winner that'll either win the games in 4 or 5, and have a long rest before the next series.

Sheed wants more than the MLE, but he won't get it, nor can many teams afford it, according to an ESPN writer, and a few other teams have shown interest in him (Orlando, Charlotte, Spurs, Lakers), but his admiration of Garnett will probably be the deciding factor in this. So, based on that, I assume he'll be a Celtic in a matter of a few weeks.

Yeah, he'll back up KG and Perkins, and will add another 3-point shooter to the Celtics...like they need more! ;-)

Yeah, there are 3 superb Eastern Conference teams, and there is no guarantee to any of them that they will make the ECF...any one of them could be left out.
