that site is such garbage it's not even funny. eklund just reads the kings fan board and makes up trade rumors from that. its TSN/NHL.com or I won't believe it.

Yeah, they basically create a lot of hype, but Eklund's "sources" are usually from just him looking through the internet orpulling something out of a hat. I would say he right about 2-5% of the time with his predicitions. It's interesting if you like rumours, but his trade/signings predictions are usually way off or he is a little late to report something that has happened. The other day on TSN, Darren Dregger actually gave kudos to Eklund for reporting one of the signings correctly before anybody else.

I just had to laugh at the mere mention of Eklund as the best rumour site out there. He's got some top-quality guys posting blogs (particularly Engels for the Habs) but some of his stories are just completely out to lunch, and here's why:

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

rumors are stupid and annoying. when you have to hear a thousand rumors that the kings are trading jmfj, they're trading frolov, theyre trading kopitar, theyre trading everyone and they're trading for heatley, lecavalier, signing gabby, signing hossa...blah blah blah. its very annoying. and want to know something VERY sad? Someone on the kings fan site posted a proposal for a trade and guess what? the very next day eklund is running it as the latest rumor in the nhl. its pathetic.

Thats why they are called RUMORS......No one said any of it will happen...just what they heard...

hockey buzz is a fun site..... it's nothing more than pure entertainment though.
I don't buy, for a second, that 'Eklund' has heard any of his 'rumors' anywhere. He trolls the internet, finds discussions on message boards with plausable trade ideas, and posts them up as a rumors. (e4)
