I am not sure, but are Edwards' Autos before the Photo Shoot the same as the "known" real ones?
Other than Sage/Press Pass the Photo Shoot autos are usually the first cards they sign and over the course of a few months an auto could alter a little.
I looked at both cards and they do look different. Good eye.
As for Wolverine24....I don't know about him shilling, I know it has been a heavily discussed topic on the boards (along with fakes) but everytime I have purchased from him the only issue is slow shipping. This is understandable considering he sells THOUSANDS of items every month.
And a question regarding the "Fake Photo Shoot" Autos. How or why would anyone fake them? Are they finding blank cards that were never signed or printing up their own??
I have 1 Kevin Smith Photo Shoot and I never thought it could be fake, but I did see a pretty questionable RED INK version, part of the auto looked smudged. I wouldn't have paid $5 for that for fear that it could have been fake.
Thanks for the thread and the edumication session...
Thanks
Mike

on a side note the seller has the card listed for a 3rd time!!! PPL are either figuring out it is fake, or he is SHILL BIDDING on it (private listing), either way STAY AWAY!!

I normally stay away from sellers that make the bidders id private just worried about seller being shady

thats a good practice, it makes me step back and wonder why someone would want a private auction. hmmmmmm

I've always wondered this and no one has ever been able to give me a legitimate reason as to why. I heard once that people who sell adult items list privately and that I can understand, but in the card world, I just don't get it. If it's private, I automatically stay away, even if it's something I really want.

That's just terrible. Topps should continue using those holograms indicating the cards' authenticity on the back or foil stamp the card as certified signature, to prevent counterfeiting from occurring.
