Question for Player Collectors
Question for the player collectors here ... when a new year of cards comes out for your PC, do you get them all up as soon as you can or target the more expensive/harder to get cards first and pick up the higher #d cards/lower end GU cards once the set has been out for a while?

I just started my Supercollection of Harvin - being that he is a rookie. I try to trade for as much as soon as I can - if i can't find it, i look on ebay.
I guess the answer to your question is, how bad do you want to get the new cards and can you afford it.
Cheers

If you're smart, never, ever buy the stuff when it first comes out. Everything is always ridiculously high when it first comes out...I know it can be hard, but wait for things to cool down and you'll save beaucoups of dough.

While everyone is right about saying prices are higher when a product first comes out, it's also easier to get certain rare cards that may not show up on eBay for quite some time after. People break a ton of boxes when a product first comes out meaning the probability of pulling a rare card is higher than a few months down the road. So I think if a card is really rare you are better off getting it right away for a hefty price while the more common cards you will be able to get cheaper in the following months and won't have to worry about them not showing up in listings on the Bay.

That's probably true...and with the very rare stuff, it's going to be high whenever. I don't usually go after the 1/1s and extremely rare cards unless they just pop up, so I was mainly referring to just the regular stuff.
