Another rant about government programs
I am a RETIRED member of the United States Air Force. I am currently unemployed and went to a VA clinic for a health concern.
In the mail today I receive paperwork from the VA that I must fill-out and return to them.
What's the paperwork for? To see if I qualify to use the VA system!
Come on now...I did RETIRE from the Air Force....so what's the problem?

I love this country and it's people....but some of it's programs need some fine tuning!

This forum needs a rant section..a lot over the past few days.
But yeah I agree with you, unemployment sends you like 3 letters a week stating how much you received last time, how much your going to receive, and just letting you know how there doing.
Wasting paper much

Red tape and delays brother...That is the typical motus operandi of the government and that runs from city government all the way to the feds...You ought to try getting a Gov student loan for one of your kids, you ain't seen nothin'!!!!!!!!!They make it so difficult and I know what they are doing. They hope people get frustrated and blow it off..Not all, but most of the emplyees you have to deal with are worthless also, which doesn't help matters....Oh, I forgot to add BloBama is supposed to be getting rid of all that red tape and stuff...lol

more than likely angel it will ... and if it doesn't there is a possibility the quality of your healthcare as a Vet will be worse than if you didn't have any healthcare. I've heard horror stories from friends of mine trying to get into see a doctor or getting some procedures done with the VA Hospital .... definitely rediculous!!

I have an older brother that is a Vietnam veteran also. He has to make Dr. appointments a month ahead of time, then has to sit for 2 hrs when he gets there to receive what he refers to as "sub par treatment"....This is definitely something that has to change. Again, your tax dollars not going where they need to. I to hope future veterans receive better care than the generations before, but I don't see a revelation happening in this area.
