    More Change: Buying Votes

Part of the "change" that we have this year is that you can buy votes in Congress in the open. 2 to 1 money went to "yes" voters on the climate bill. Coincidence or planned?

Of course the Democratic defenders will either a) ignore this thread or b) defend this by saying, "it is better than the last 8 years."

I think someone should write a song titled, "It is better than the last 8 years." It would make millions! At least then it can officially sound like a broken record when defending all the things Obama and this congress do.

Good to see you to. I be around now and then until I get forced out again. :) Someone will complain I'm sure. I have to blow off some steam when I'm putting in 15 hour days on SCF.

15 hour days...good lord...i dont know when you took over, but SCF has definitely improved a lot since i first joined...big props on that

I don't think you got run off before...i just think you stopped defending your threads when there wasn't much to defend...i still remember you blasting Obama for not wearing a flag pin until he was pressured to wear one, yet I couldn't find a single photo anywhere of McCain wearing one (the guy you supported)...you also try to create links to people when there really is no link...like when you said an obama cabinet member (Vivek Kundra) was arrested, but in reality, the article you linked to clearly stated that he had not been linked to the raid and that the arrests occurred at his former office...or even this thread here, where you started another thread and linked back to this one as if Pelosi has indeed bribed somebody like its fact...the article in this thread you link to states:

It's impossible to tell if that torrent of cash was an attempt to schmear wavering Democrats -- or just part of the usual cash dump made by leaders on the eve of the June 30 quarterly fundraising deadline.

you gotta be more diplomatic in your disdain for democrats...personally, i dont care much for any of them (politicians)...they are all blood sucking leaches and this very well could be bribery...but you cant present things as fact when it's not

You did read where people who voted for her bill got 2 to 1 money, right? Off course she will cloak the money giving as an end of quarter deal. The ones that voted in her favor got twice the money than the ones that did not. It may not be cut and dry, but it sure is suspicious!

Everything politicians do is suspicious...not just democrats. I agree 100% that it's suspicious, but it's also not been factually proven, and looks like it can't be either. I don't mind the thread being posted...it's definitely interesting...but then you link back to this thread in another saying Pelosi bribes people...you can't prove that....yet

You are also being a little misleading by suggesting people who voted yes got twice the money...Clyburn shelled out $2000 each to 21 different people...14 of them voted yes, and 7 voted no...you make it seem like the ones who voted yes got $4000, while the ones who voted no only got $2000....it also says in the article pelosi gave out $4000 each to two different people...one voted yes, the other voted no...

    suspicious, but nothing conclusive

Suspicious and Politics are two words that go together ...

Kinda like Ice and Cream, Cold and Beer ... you get the picture.

Politics wouldn't be politics if it was cut and dry ...

I'm goin with Red on this though, Dem/Repube/Lib ... I don't care for any of them anymore!! I'm tired of it, TIME TO TAKE THE POWER BACK!!

People who voted yes got $28,000. People that voted no got $14,000. Looks like 2 to 1 to me. And some gave ALL their money to the yes voters.

House Energy and Commerce Henry Waxman gave at least $16,000 to yes-voters on June, 25, FEC records show.

I don't buy both sides do it. In the same article you will read that Republicans gave to their most vulnerable.

Boehner gave $2,000 each in late June to Reps. Brian Bilbray (R-Calif.); Chris Lee (R-N.Y.), Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.), Joseph Cao (R-La.), Judy Biggert (R-Ill.), Ken Calvert (R-Calif.), Dan Lungren (R-Calif.), and Thad McCotter (R-Mich.). All of these Republicans are among the most vulnerable politically.

You may not buy what I'm saying, but I have to hear that Bush is a war criminal and all Republicans are polluters and don't care about the environment with zero proof. I'm showing a 2 to 1 money hand out.

Reminds me how President Obama picks his diplomats.
