there's a post on here somewhere talking about this card. i'm pretty sure this one is the fake but there is one almost exactly like it thats legit. a spokesman from upperdeck confirmed it and gave the serial number and everything.

The patch is way too small. I dont think the whole vikings head fits in the card. Its pretty annoying though that someone would ruin a card like that though.

There is only one /99 with that patch and UD issued a letter with it. That is not it
Jeremy For the record Exquiste has a ton of team logos in 06 and 07 and now 08 numbered to /99 and /25 that is not the issue.
It does but there is only 1
You are correct sir

The whole Viking head patch has been a topic of debate before.
I had a Randy Moss Leaf Limited Patch...

The reason it has been debated is because if you look at an "Authentic" on-field Vikings Jersey, there is no type of "backing" to the Patch, it is right on Jersey with no border.
On my patch, there appears to be some type of twill backing around the Patch that isn't Jersey. If you look closely at my card (was my card, sold to a fellow board member vikingfan101) you can see no signs of tampering.
So was it real? Possibly. It could have come from an older jersey where there was some type of border around the Viking head.
BUT....here is 100% proof confirmed by Upper Deck that there are fake Patch cards out there.

Luckily before I paid for this I contacted Newfie and he contacted his people at Upper Deck and they had the auction pulled from eBay and sent me a message confirming that it was fake and there are NO NFL Logo patch cards in SP Authentic from that particular year.
As for this AP, I don't know. Does Upper Deck use "Event Worn" caps (hats) that the players might wear at the Rookie Premiere? That material looks like it came from a hat, but that is just my first impression.
Thanks
Mike
