    Top 10 Songs About Cars

Got this from CNN, which they took from AOL Auto:

The 10 best songs about cars

    Their list:
"She Runs Hot" by Little Village
"Long White Cadillac" by the Blasters
"Me and the Boys" by NRBQ
"Rollin In My Rolls" by Moon Martin and the Ravens
    "Outskirts" by James McMurtry
"Crawlin' From the Wreckage" -- written by Graham Parker, covered by Dave Edmunds
"Cadillac Assembly Line" -- written by Sir Mack Rice, popularized by Albert King
"Long May You Run" by Neil Young
    "Ramrod" by Bruce Springsteen

    Honorable Mentions:
"440 Horses," ******* Sons of Johnny Cash
"Mustang Sally," original version by Detroit's Sir Mack Rice
    "Blue Chevrolet," the Beat Farmers
    "Makin' Thunderbirds," Bob Seger
"Six Days on the Road," Merle Haggard
"Diamonds On My Windshield," Tom Waits

What a ridiculous list! Just some of the top of my head that should have been included.

One Piece At a Time - Johnny Cash
Hot Rod Lincoln - performed by many, my favorite is Asleep at the Wheel
Ride On, Josephine - George Thorogood
Carl Perkins' Cadillac - Drive-by Truckers
    409 - Beach Boys
Little Deuce Coupe - Beach Boys
    Low Rider - War
    Mercedes Benz - Janis Joplin

And to round it out to 10, I would keep Long White Cadillac and Mustang Sally...the rest I would easily replace with the ones I listed. And I'm sure there are many others more deserving than their list!

Would you consider "Maybellene" by Chuck Berry a song about cars? If so, add it to my list :)

    A few of my favorites:
No Particular Place To Go - Chuck Berry
Drive My Car - The Beatles
    Red Barchetta - Rush
    Low Rider - War

    1000% true...lol

it was cool in the 1990's when there was actually good rap music to blast...now im just wondering why people even play some of this crap, let alone play it loudly?

i don't listen to much T.I. so nothing jumped out at me...and Mike Jones is just flat out awful...lol...Mike Jones would probably get my vote for worst rapper of all time
