Racial Profiling, Crowley/Gates incident and the media

I'm sure we have all seen or heard the story by now of the incident in cambridge where the Professor was arrested for talking trash to a police officer. I personnally believe that it is more of an issue about an elitist thinking that he is better than and above a regular joe. I think pride played a major role on both sides. I do find it Ironic that the wealthy elitist with connections and freinds in high places claims to represent oppressed Minorities and the poor. I dont think race had anything to do with this until Gates brought it up. After looking at all of the facts of the case, it looks clear to me that Gates is the racist in this situation. I cant understand why Obama and the media continue to bring up racial profiling. I have heard people say "racial profiling" at least 100 times over the past couple of days. There was no racial profiling in this case. In fact, it would be impossible to even have racial profiling in this case. The officer was given a specific address to respond to. he did not randomly pick a house because it had a black man in it. He didnt see a black man driving a house down the street and decide to pull him over. He went to the address he was told to go to. Unless i missed the report, gates wasnt having a house party with 40 guests of various ethnic backgrounds at his house. i think it was just him and maybe his driver. It wouldnt matter because they are both black men. the point is that there was never even an opportunity to profile. It was impossible. Why is obama talking about racial profiling??? it just doesnt make any sense. It just seems pretty......STUPID

IMO Obama's comments make him look very foolish. He has either been misinformed or is being selective on the details he's actually reading. The officer did nothing wrong and followed protocol. Had he not asked for identification he would of been guilty of not doing his duty. I wish the President would do his job rather than the constant media circus.

Yeah, Obama didnt help him self at all with those remarks. First, he says "we dont have all the facts", yet he goes on to say the officers actions were stupid. So he's assuming the facts that he doesnt have arent going to side with the officer, he's automatically on the other guys side.

I think that the President shoulkd have stayed out of it because he was not there to have all tge details. Also, if they guy is yelling at an officer and making him look stupid, then the officer did the right thing. And race was brought by the arrested not the officer. The officer arrested him after he knew he was the owner of the house but he kept going with the yelling and the racial issue

Sounds like racism to me........ News just broke that the cambridge police department backed by the police union is demanding an apology from Obama. what has this guy done. Police organizations nationwide are angry with obama for provoking race related anger toward police. We have this yahoo gates, sharpton, Jackson, and all kinds of elected black officials including the POTUS speaking out against the police when it appears they did nothing wrong. It is expected from the other Loons, but how could Obama be so stupid. It's scary that he has no idea how powerful his words can be. Stir up racial tensions in America and drive the police Unions to the verge of striking. The great Uniter.....

I 100% agree, Obama is needlessly raising tensions between police officers and minorities. IMO this just makes the job of police more difficult as now individuals always want to play the race card.

Now the National Black caucus has released a statement in full support of Obama and Gates. These *******s are beyond STUPID. Its these retards who should be heald accountable for their words. Obama answered a question without time to think about it. These incredibly stupid people had time to get all of the facts and decided to jump in and stir up the tension some more without being asked to do so. More overt Racism from elected congressmen and women. I just pray that America can realize this for what it is. A bunch of BULL****. Its a great ratings boost for the media. Remember that the OJ chase is still the 2nd highest rated TV event in history. The truth just may not sell in this case. We also must realize that Jesse jackson and Al Sharpton were becoming less visible lately. im sure Al Sharpton had a smile on his face when he woke up this morning along with Jesse jackson and the Black caucus. The race business is booming again....in spite of the truth.

IN the long run they are all going to find out that they are wrong. I don;t care if he is a Harcarvd Professor. He did something wrong and the president should know better than this. He does not have to say that police are stupid when he was not in there. Then he said that the conversation between the cop and the professor should have kept civilize....he was the on who started it so it is not the cops fault

Yes. I agree, but this is getting much bigger and has the potential to explode. Thats my point, Obama and these *** clowns need to remember that this **** can have serious consequences and cost people their lives. It hasent been too long since the LA Riots. Gates isnt Rodney King, but it sure seems like a lot of people want him to be.....Why?? because Obama opened his ****ing mouth. The entire race industry comes running like moths to a light.
