Message to ALL Steelers Fans
Thank you for voting for every steelers nominated Espy award at least six times each person. This is the downfall to the fan voted awards. The most popular team always wins. Granted the Big Ben to Holmes TD was great, but it was nowhere near as great a play as crab's TD in the Texas/Texas Tech game. I don't think any steeler was nominated for an award and didn't win. I'm not saying the steelers aren't a good team or that they weren't deserving of some of the awards, but come on tis isn't supposed to be a popularity contest.

This is the only part i disagree with i still think the holmes catch was better than the crabtree one. The crabtree one was indeed great, but come one the holmes catch was amazing and it won the steelers the superbowl! I think the voting can be bias just look at the pro bowl. But i still think holmes should of won this award and i honestly think that this award wasnt a bias voting. So i think you could of used a better example ( i honestly dont know how many awards a steeler player won) but ya i can see were your coming from.
P.S. i am a Steelers fan but i dont consider my self a bias fan i just like football in general.

how do you think manning got MVP the year ben won 13 or 14 games as a rookie? there are no rules or laws that say a rookie can't be MVP. manning didn't deserve squat.

I wouldn't even consider the Espy an award at all.

Yeah who really cares about the ESPY's man. It pretty much is a popularity contest.

LOL, weren't the ESPY's on LAST SUNDAY?!?!? Did it take you an entire week to come up with this thread? What do you expect, the Steelers are the most popular NFL team across the world, of course they're going to get a ton of votes.
BTW - weren't they nominated in the best team category? The Lakers won that

Beat a dead horse much?
Look at the stats, they don't lie. Despite Ben's performance in his rookie year, Manning's season and stats were so much better it isn't even funny.
Was Ben valuable to his team, yes, but the Colts aren't anything without him, the Steelers that year weren't all about Ben. MVP is a regular season award, Pittsburgh winning the SB doesn't count.
Not to hijack the thread, the ESPY's are a joke, I don't even know why they bother.

Why hate on the Steelers?
Crabtree's catch was nice, but not even close to Santonio's! Let's see...
Santonio had a game winning TD catch in the Super Bowl, the most watched sporting event in world history...Crabtree had a game winning TD catch in the biggest game in Texas Tech history
Santonio had 3 defenders around him....Crabtree had 2 defenders (one of them completely out of position by trying to get in front of Crabtree instead of defend the end zone!)
Santonio wins Super Bowl MVP honors and goes to Disney World....Crabtree wins the honor of being the second WR drafted and goes to San Francisco
Santonio's team finishes as the first team to win SIX Super Bowl Championships....Crabtree's team finished third in their own division!
