I'm going to make a few threads on the marque fights, just want to hear everyone's .02 I'll start with Grove vs Almeida; this is a pretty interesting match up in the middleweight division. Both fighters have different styles and it will be interesting to see who is able to execute the better gameplan. Let's look at the striking and ground aspects:

Striking: Grove definately has the edge, he has shown improvement in his striking since working with B.J. Penn, and will look to keep this fight standing up.

Ground: Almeida is the more accomplished grappler, and has world class BJJ skills, he should look to take Kendall down and control the fight and try to finish it with a submission.

My prediction: This is a tough one to call, but I will say Almeida will win via decision. Look for Almeida to make a splash in the welterweight division after this fight.
