Winner, winner, chicken dinner...
I won some goodies today!!!...well, yesterday, but who's counting?
Last week, there was a contest through The Hartford Racing site--they are sponsoring Clint Bowyer's #33 this weekend. They had a online scavenger hunt this week on their site....a different question everyday at 3:33 PM EDT. The first ten correct entries everyday got a prize pack from them...a Bowyer T-shirt, a Bowyer canvas print, and a Bowyer die-cast. The die-cast and print are autographed.
I entered the contest on Thursday (the only day I could enter at the 3:33 mark without missing work) and sent the answer to them at 3:34 PM, hoping I was one of the first ten. They called me Saturday, but I let my cell pick up the message since I was at work. I checked my messages this morning and found out I won...WOOT WOOT!!!
The only problem is that they didn't have Clint sign the prints yet, so it will be a month or so to get them sent out. I will do my duty (take pics and load them up so you'll can see them) when I'll get my package...
Angie said that she wished it was from a "good driver", but you know what they say about gift horses...
I'm still stoked about it...but I got to call them and make sure they get me the right sized T-shirt...I am a tad husky...LOL

I checked the contest rules, and it said it will be the Hartford paint scheme (cool) and according to the rep who contacted me after winning, it will be a 1:24 scale. Here's to hoping it's one of the $70 diecasts...

Seriously? Who's her driver? CLint's better than a lot of guys out there.

Her favorite driver was Dale Jarrett until he retired, now it is Jimmie Johnson...another bandwagon jumper.

posted the question about the availability of the diecast on a diecast trading site and got this response...
The Hartford car was available this year through the Platinum series (the $70 diecasts you see at the trackside rigs and NASCAR shops), but was canceled to all the regular networks. Apparently, the cars was purchased by corporate...so it will be not too easy to get them (unless you won it through the contest or work for them).
