Records Are Made To Be Broken - Record #8!

Record: Complete an entire season without losing back-to-back games - never has happened

This one isn't a record that has been set - it's one thing that has never happened, so it's essentially a record in it's own right.

Will it ever be broken? Vote, and explain your reasoning! Please vote based on whether it'll happen in our lifetimes or not - noone knows what'll happen in 500 years!

I voted no. A probability equation using a .500 team (41-41) and the 96 Bulls team record (72-10) over an 82 game season shows that the likelihood is astronomical.

This is one record that I could see being set - although highly unlikely, as the 72-10 Bulls even lost back-to-back, I could see it happening by a 65-69 win team...the probability is pretty low, so I almost want to vote no, but I'm going to say yes on this one...you don't see home-and-home games too often anymore, so that wouldn't be a factor in having a team (for the purposes of this, let's say Bobcats) having your number (again, for the purposes of this, let's say Lakers).

I hear ya. And as long as my Bobcats are in the league, the Lakers' chances of doing it are very unlikely!

I don't think this will happen because it's simply to hard and the 10 loss Bulls couldn't even do it.

On a side note the Lakers haven't loss 3 in a row since they traded for Pau Gasol

This would be very difficult to do - a team would have to be even more dominant than the 95-96 Bulls, and since I doubt that will happen, I vote no on this as well.

There you go. I told you I'd catch you bringing up the Lakers in a non-Laker topic.

Just messing. Honestly though, I think this one is one of the more realistic of the other records we have discussed on here. I'll say yes, it will happen.
