Records are made to be broken: Doug Jarvis' Consecutive Game streak

Ok, I birdie from the basketball team gave us this idea... and because I think it's a good one, I'm "borrowing" it!

Doug Jarvis played in 964 consecutive NHL games, from 1975 to 1987. Question for you, will someone play 965 in a row?

Last I knew it was Cory Sarich, but I don't think it is any longer

No...it's rare to see players play all 82 games in a season anymore, and even more rare to see a player have consecutive seasons playing all 82 games...honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone could reach half of that anytime soon!

if he plays out his contract in Calgary w/o missing a game....he still needs to play another 213 games to get it!!!!

I'd look at one of the young guys in the league to set it... Jordan Staal I think has played over 200 straight games and he's only 20.
