Fedor signs with Strikeforce
Kind of a let down, Strikeforce doesn't have much to offer as far as top HWs, aside from Brett Rogers. Here is the link, via mmajunkie.com

Should be more easy wins for Fedor then. Fedor should already be in the UFC by this week, if it weren't for his management wanting to co-promote with Dana and company. Everybody knows that the best fighters are in the UFC, but whatever, I guess.

I think the bottom line is Fedor is scared of Brock Lesnar!!! PERIOD!!!
If you thought you were the best then why not prove it!! He is running away!!!! Coward!!!

I don't know about that, he's said he would like to fight Brock. The problem doesn't lie with Fedor, it's his management company. They are so stuck with getting more money, it's laughable. The idea that they thought the UFC would co-promote with M-1 was the epitomy of an epic fail.

I don't know about being scared of Brock Lesnar. I think it's more like scared of the top heavyweights in the world, which are in the UFC.
This is a terrible move for Strikeforce. Dana and Scott Coker were once on good terms, but I don't think this will be the case now. I think the UFC wil counter-program everything Strikeforce does now. It will go away like Affliction. UFC is too big of a monster.

Boo Fedor for letting his management do this. There is no way that asking UFC to co-program with M-1 was a legit request. That is what they are using as an excuse because they didn't want to sign with UFC but needed an excuse.

ufc already counter programs everything strikeforce does. who are the great fighters the ufc have to offer fedor?
noguierra? he beat him 3 times already...
randy? over the hill and would get destroyed by fedor..
mir...his weakness is gnp and that is fedors speciallty..
crocop, dos santos, kongo....not even on the same level..
velasquez and carwin have not fought elite fighters to have them really be that far ahead of the strikeforce heavyweights...I like them but they are still a ways out from being elite fighters..
lesnar poses a threat but still out of their top heavyweights they have 1 for sure possibly 3 interesting fights.
strike force has the same brett rogers in up and coming like cain and shane they are all dark horses and can possibly create problems
werdum and overreem are both descent heavyweights and are descent matchups.
they also are willing to co promote and have linked up with feg who owns k1 and k1 heroes and are on the verge of linking up with dream as well that can bring sergei karitohnov and another dark horse bobby lashley.
People need to realize that this is a buisness and fedor is part owner of m1 and looking to brand himself like randy couture did with xtreme couture but fedor is trying to take it to the next level. Co promoting does mean they want half of everything the want to co promote the fight card fedor apears in and thats the deal strikeforce made with him...co promoting means they split cost of the show along with profits so if the show tanks they all lose equally if the show does great they all do. ufc just wants control of everyones lives and i stand and applaude fedor for sticking to his guns.
Ufc is so control hungry they have stated that anyone who apears in the ea mma game they have scheduled for release will be black balled from the ufc...even if they are currently not in the ufc so they are trying to control fighters and threaten them even when they dont fight for the ufc.
now who is crazy with control and have outrageous demands.

He beat Minotauro twice, 1 of their fights was a no contest. But I agree, there isn't much competition out there left for Fedor. Tim Sylvia dominated the HW division in the UFC for quite a while, and Fedor beat him down in 36 seconds. I still think a guy like Carwin and Lesnar can give him problems.

im sorry to say this, but people who are blaming the UFC for fedor not getting signed are off base. To ask for co-promotion was ridiculous. When Dice-K signed with the red sox of Yao Ming signed with the rockets, imagine either of their agents saying "you can sign my player, but you much go into a 50/50 partnership with the shanghai sharks or whoever dice-k's team was." No matter how talented a player/fighter is, it never maks sense for a billion dollar company to enter into that kind of partnership with a company worth nearly nothing.
