    San Diego Comic Con 2009

    While I am generally a Baseball Collector, my son got into comics in the last year, so last month the kid, the wife and I headed to San Diego, CA for Comic Con 2009.

    Attached are pictures of some of the people I saw, met, got autos from, etc. as well as pics of some items I got signed and some ORIGINAL Artwork Sketches I got done...

    Away we go...

    A couple of people we saw, but didn't meet:

    Jon Favreau (Writer/Actor)



    Stan 'the Man' Lee



    Leonard 'SPOCK' Nimoy



    A few autos I got - but no pictures or artwork from them:

    Tom Kenny (the Voice of Sponge Bob Square Pants)



    Neal Adams (One of the GREAT Comic Artists of ALL Time)



    One Person we met, but didn't get an auto from:

    T.J. Storm - Martial Arts Master... if you saw Punisher : War Zone, TJ played the character who did the 'street jumping' that landed on the iron fence and got his neck broken by the Punisher...



    I'll have to do a few posts to get all the pics up...

    Glad you like them!!!

    The Captain America pieces are all going to get framed (along w/ Punisher piece) to hang in the man-cave... the Sketch cards will all join the permanent collection to give to the kid down the road...

    Some pics and autos I need to post on here include Nick and Gene Simmons (YES - Gene Simmons of KISS) - his son Nick has a Comic Book out that my son bought and got signed by them... Milo Ventimiglia (Peter on Heroes) - he has a book out that my wife bought and had signed...

    Overall, just a great time - but SENSORY overload!!!

    In San Diego, they refer to it now more as a Pop Culture Con than Comic Con!!!
