I think this one can be broken.

Two guys are tied for it, so it just takes one more for the record. With more players taking threes these days, I see it being broken within a few years.

i voted yes, too. Long range bombers are too common in today's game. One of them will get into a zone and shoot 8 in a half and 5 or 6 in the other.

This one reminded me of Jordan's performance against Portland in the Finals. Right after that, ESPN had that special about professional athletes being "in the zone". Anybody remember the spinoff "ITZ" shoes that failed miserably? Bobby Hurley was their exclusive pitch man.

Haha, yes - I was a kid then, but Slam magazine advertised these a lot in their early issues.

I say yes, because a guy named jodie meeks scored 54 points against tennesse last year with 14 or 15 3 pointers and college D is a little better since they have something to play for. He will be with the Bucks this year so i believe he will break that 3-point record his rookie year he shoots somewhere around 40-46% from the arch i know college is a little closer but like i said the D is not as good. All i am saying is watch out for this guy behind the arch and from the free throw line, he is on point. he did tremendously well in the summer league.

Your saying college Defense is better than NBA defense?!?!?! Im sorry, but i find it the opposite. There are so many more fierce competitors in the NBA rather than college. So your saying that Meeks is going to have an easier time in the NBA rather then college? thanx

I think it will be broken - the 3-pointer is relied upon heavily by numerous NBA teams now, and there are several players that either 1) are great 3-point shooters that could do it, or 2) are ball hogs and will take that many 3's just because they want to - not necessarily because they should hit 12 three's in a game *cough*cough* Donyell Marshall *cough*cough* lol

I'm surprised that players like Reggie Miller and Ray Allen haven't had 12 in a game - both are/were more than capable...but, that shows how the game has changed.

    nik my statement was because:
    1. nba gets paid to play so there for regardless what happens during the game they go home with a check.
    2. NCAA players have to pay to play so there for they will try harder and do everything they can to win.
    3. D in the nba is lazy on breakaways they either A give up or B foul the crap out of them. D in the NCAA on the other hand they never let down college is way more competative then the nba.
