pick the next 3
some will call me wrong, but this is my post.
the best 3 running backs of all time, are sanders, brown, and payton, in no particular order.
what other 3 would best round out the top 6? best 3 by my opinion wins. you have to name 3 to win. no active rbs.

Emmitt Smith is in there somewhere --
I know its not a done deal, but if Tomlinson and Peterson continue on their way you can count them in. ;)

I fully agree with Barry, Brown and Payton being an any order top 3. 4 through 6 would be Emmitt, OJ and Dickerson in my opinion.

Emmitt Smith, hands down, has to be in the discussion...I also agree with Dickerson...haven't seen enough old school football footage to accurately judge any of the other names, though...

O.J. Simpson, Emmitt, Dickerson would probably be the next 3. You can also make a case for Earl Campbell and Marcus Allen, also Gale Sayers
