Wow, I thought this saga ended already. Good news for Viking fans though.

Unreal. I'm not even sure it's a good thing for Vikings fans, do they need this drama all year for a waning QB? He must have no idea what he's doing to his reputation. I feel for Packers fans. As a Steeler fan, it would be like Ben going to play for Baltimore. Sometimes you just have to know when your time has come. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who's tired of this.

I think it is, if anything it will be a huge boost to AP. He won't see 8 man boxes. And it will make the secondary think twice about sneaking up. A lot of people give Favre cr*p for how he played last year, but he was having a great season until his elbow injury.

acually i hope for the best. sure he crossed to the dark side but the vikings need qb help and he can mentor jackson and booty.
good move for vikings, bad for his reputation

But does Minnesota have the ability to swallow the frequent Favre interceptions? Plus, we have no idea how his arm is going to react to ANOTHER full season. Will the Vikes be okay if Favre peters out in November, and is really going to be in top form in January? He may be a step up from Rosenfels and Jackson, but if I were a Vikes fan, I wouldn't believe that he'd put that team any closer to winning a championship.

He isn't a step up, it's a giant leap of an upgrade from Rosenfels and Jackson. Healthy wise it's hard to say if he can take another year or wear and tear. But as I said, he looked great for the Jets when healthy, and had them thinking playoffs. If he can stay healthy throughout the season, he may really bolster that Vikings team. For the past 2 years, the constant question mark for the Vikes has been the QB play. It's not so much the fact that they need a QB to lead them, but rather a QB to make plays to help ease the load off their running game. Favre won't be asked to come in and throw 40 times a game.
