    Customs forum needed?

I really have not heard back from any members on the addition of the customs forum. Was this something that you all liked or is it just taking up extra space on the site? I really enjoy seeing the creativity myself of some of our members! Thanks you for those of you who have been so kind to show off your designs and an even bigger thanks for those of you who did not mind others making copies to send TTM! Best of luck on your collections!

I agree. It's really nice. Helps me come up with some new ideas sometimes. And my favorite part is that although there might not be sooooo much traffic, its easy to find the customs. Before, it was hard to find the customs threads.

I think the forum addition is great as it gets all of the customs in one area for those interested in them and out of the way for those that aren't really.

I agree, it's great having a place to show your work & check out all of the great customs being made.

I like it a lot, one thing that bothers me a little though is people putting stuff like there name or "sample" on the card so others can't use them. If you're going to post them up you might as well let the SCF community use them, that's the point of customs. It's the makers choice but I've never done it before...

I agree. No offense to Bigga or RockiesFan33, but its annoying to see these customs and not be able to use them. Plus you have to take time to add the watermark, so you might as well save yourself time. Maybe ask for a cc donation whenever someone uses a custom? I dont know... I'm just voicing my opinion.

This may come across as selfish, but as someone who's made some customs, I put the watermark on because honestly, I don't want people using them and thats not my point of posting them. More than anything I am looking for feedback, not to give them away.

For me, the point of making customs in the first place is to create something unique, something that you wont see anywhere else or in other people's collections. Also, it's fairly time consuming to create a design and takes some practice so I feel I have every right watermark my work and keep it for myself.

Also, you must not see the posts and threads where RockiesFan33 and Bigga have given away or made customs for other members. They both have made many for other people around SCF and I will look to do the same as I create more designs.

Like I said, I may sound selfish, but I wanted to let you know what I thought. I dont have nearly the skill or experience w/ customs as other around here but this is how I see it and why I don't simply hand mine out. It may be different for others but hopfully this provides another viewpoint.

Back to to original topic though, I am very excited about the new sub-forum. I'm always look for feedback, ideas and inspiration as a new customs guy and this forum is great for that!
