should I dispute? Please help.
Ive never dealt with this kinda thing before. i made a trade with a 30 positive / 0 negative feedback guy. We made the deal on august 10th. i promptly shipped on the 11th. He hasnt signed on to the site since the 19th of august, i havent received, havent been able to contact him (or get a reply, at least). luckily it was only like 20 dollars worth of inserts but im a little aggitated. my only concern is that with him not logging on that he had a family issue or something and i dont wanna be a jerk. just kinda torn over what to do here because everyone ive traded with has been super up through now.

Thanks a ton guys, any insight will be greatly appreciated.

If you participate in the trading process you should not feel bad about filing a trade dispute and letting the Mods do their thing. It's there for a reason.
I don't see how you should feel like the Jerk since you followed the protocol and honored the trade while the other party does not. A trade is essentially a business transaction and people should be a little more business like in their follow through. It is not personal when you file a dispute. Circumstances the other trader may be experiencing are not your responsibility while it is clearly his obligation to communicate any issues promptly.

^^^^^ ....... Agreed
I only use PayPal G&S and I do not ship internationally
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I would dispute it, you're just trying to protect yourself. If the person ever signs back on and questions you, tell them its been more than 2 weeks and haven't heard a peep.

Thanks guys! i think you a right, the only reason i felt like a jerk is that if there was a family emergency football insert cards take a back seat (or at least sure would in my opinion). I think im gonna go ahead and dispute it. Thanks again for the insights.

You shipped on the 11th and he was getting on on the 19th? If he had a family emergency and had time to get on this site, he had time to go to the post office to send your stuff. If he had a family emergency after that, why was he waiting over a week to send?

Over 2 weeks, file the dispute.
When someone else does not ship their end and you put it in dispute you are never in the wrong and are not "being a jerk." Anybody who waits 3+ weeks to ship without being decent enough to contact you and explain why is a either A) a scammer or B) much more than a jerk.
