ok, a few things:
1. just because the man says something doesn't mean it is true. read the thread a few down that talks about anyone who doesn't get health insurance will be fined by the government.
2. when bush sent more troops, he was criticized, obama does it and he is applauded.
3. so he can close down whatever he wants as long as it saves money?
4. the national debt has actually risen in the last year, not gone down. which is quite far from "he has got us out of debt"
5. the cash for clunkers deal will end up as an epic failure since roughly 50% of the cars that dealers were told they would be reimbursed for they are now being told they are not.
6. well, i guess if you are one who likes handouts then yeah, he has done that.
my asking your age had nothing to do with your spelling and everything to do with the seemingly repeated without thought speech you posted.
so, you are 1 for 6. not bad!

So you don't agree with facts? Sounds about right.
This has nothing to do with who GM is hiring or Bush, this has to do with Obama's Cash for Clunkers program. It is my tax money paying for someone else to buy a new car...doesn't matter which company made it. And, as I said, the Democrates, who are all about helping the poor, made these "clunkers" be destroyed instead of offering them to the poor who may not be able to afford a car otherwise. That was your Democrates idea, not Bush, not GM.
And I never mentioned Bush, you did that. You're right, you said your peace and it proves my point better than I ever could, so I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to respond.

He did say a few things I liked - it would be very helpful to those of us with pre-existing conditions to get reasonable coverage, for instance (this is an issue on which he agreed with McCain) - but as others stated, we'll see if the nice rhetoric turns to real action.

Joe Wilson shouts to Obama during speech: 'You lie'
A Republican House member shouted "You lie" during President Obama's health care speech to Congress on Wednesday, and members of both parties condemned the heckling.
After the speech, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst.
"This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill," the statement said. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."
That's hilarious...it's like a high school assembly. And you gotta see the pic:

CNN Poll: Double-digit post-speech jump for Obama plan
Two out of three Americans who watched President Barack Obama's health care reform speech Wednesday night favor his health care plans — a 14-point gain among speech-watchers, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll of people who tuned into Obama's address Wednesday night to a joint session of Congress.
A few details that might clarify things a bit more though:
Sixty-seven percent of people questioned in the survey say the support Obama's health care reform proposals that the president outlined in his address, with 29 percent opposed. Those figures are almost identical to a poll conducted immediately after Bill Clinton's health care speech before Congress in September, 1993.
The audience for the speech appears to be more Democratic than the U.S. population as a whole. Because of this, the results may favor Obama simply because more Democrats than Republicans tune into the speech. The poll surveyed the opinions of people who watched Wednesday night's speech, and does not reflect the views of all Americans.
At least there's still hope. Obviously too many people haven't been paying attention to the numerous campaign issues Obama has gone back on.

The guy was dead on when he called Obama a liar. Mainly because he is a liar in general, but also on the point he was making. Did anybody else notice that the number of uninsured in this country dropped by 18 million people last night???? It went from 48 million to "over 30 million" in Obamas speech last night. So......illegal aliens were covered in the plan up until yesterday, but the people who point that out or call Obama a LIAR are the crazy Loons. Of coarse, we all know the real number is 12-14 million people who need government help with healthcare. More half truth from Obama and the left. its not going to cut it. People cant trust anything he says if he so blatantly continues to lie......Hey, if you do beleive everything he says, then you should be extremely happy today. 18 million Americans got Healthcare coverage in a matter of seconds..........or.....18 million americans disappeared off the face of the earth in a matter of seconds................or......the disinformation, lies, and smears are actually coming from Obama and the left. Which one is the most likely?
