HearthStone Manor Cardshow Recap
Sunday morning I drove up to Hearthstone Manor here in the Buffalo area to meet up with a few local SCF'ers and make some trades. Other members of the "Sabres Mafia" in attendance included D-Rock (Geschrocks33), Scoot (Scottkoz20), and Helmet (jtrain35).
One highlight of the day was seeing Helmet's 06-07 Crosby/Sutter/Esposito/Tavares- Quad Emblem /10 in person. Just an absolutely ridiculous card.
I gave myself a very disciplined budget of only $20 for the day...
Pick-ups:
07-08 Patrick Kaleta Artifacts RC /25 ($5) for my 19 yr old brother

and my favorite for the day....
08-09 Nikita Filatov YG Exclusives /100 for.... $10 :)
A guy had a HUGE stack of YGs (ask Derrick lol) and he had like 5-6 Filatov's marked for $25 each. He told us everything was half off, and I noticed that in the middle of the stack one of the Filatov YG's happened to be an Exclusives. I offered him $10 and walked away very happy :)
Decent show overall, and I think I came away with some nice stuff given the budget I gave myself. Hopefully Derrick and Scott will share their show stories on this thread a well :)

That's definitely a good pick up - the Filatov. The exclusives aren't as easy to come by as most people would be inclined to believe. I also think the Biron was a good pick up for only $2.

You mean there is another cardshow in Buffalo besides the Sanborn show?
I plan on making the trek to Buffalo for the Nov 11th Sanborn show.

This show only happens twice a year, and it's the closest we get to a larger show. This was the last one of the year I believe.
Sanborn shows start October 14th I believe.

I am from the Toronto area. Since I am off work on Nov 11th, I will be there at the Sanborn show for sure.
