Sleeper Team(s)
Sorry if someone already made a thread for this, but I'm wondering what you guys think the sleeper team(s) will be this year?
I think the Florida Panthers will do A LOT BETTER than most people would predict. Michael Frolik will get more points and David Booth will continue to tear it up!l collect Philadelphia Eagles (NO VICK CARDS), Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers.

I'm going to agree with the Kings, and make a bold prediction, of the Leafs. If they get a goalie playing well, and some of their young players step up, they could squeeze into the playoffs

I agree about the Blues. They have a lot of young talent and some nice veteran players like Kariya.

I think that a healthy Kariya will help.
They seem to be playin pretty good Pre-season so far.
and "the other white meat" Chris Mason is gonna tear it up this year!

Atlanta will be a top 5 team, and LA will make the playoffs.

I definately agree with LA being a sleeper team. I also think that if the chemistry clicks, the Coyotes could also muster up a playoff birth.

That will be kinda suprising...
Personally I think that the Jackets will impress a lot this year

It would be surprising, but I dont think it's out of the realm of possibility. They have a lot of things going for them. One being that they are playing in a conference with Tampa and Florida who will be bottom feeders, while teams from the Atlantic will kill each other, and the Northeast is filled wiith teams who seem to be about equal. The second is that Kovalchuk is an upcoming free agent entering his prime so you know he's motivated. Their defense is young but also pretty solid on paper. Their offense improved quite a bit via free agency, not too mention their young guys having another year under their belt, plus they were already pretty good offensively last season. Lehtonen is a top 10 goalie when he's healthy; if he is healthy this year, I can see them easily making the playoffs, possibly having home ice.
