Good idea for a Jumbo patch card design

I was looking at some of the Rookies and Stars jumbo patches and hated how the player image is so small, but its cool that you get a nice big patch

I immediately thought about how companies could use acetate with images printed on them to solve this issue. Upper Deck has used this type of technology on some of its cards like this DJ White card I have.

the whole front of the card is clear acetate that the player singed and the black and white headshot is a clear area

Fleer had a nice acetate set with nice images

I think it might look something like this....imagine the player image on acetate laid over the jumbo patch. It could even be Autographed or have a sticker on it

Any feedback would be great, maybe I could send this idea to a company and they could pay me for it or maybe even let me help in the graphic design process

I'd like it if the player image was a die cut overlapping the patch so the patch was still exposed. It does give an awesome look.

personally think the acetate look would not be atractive with the multi colors.... detracts from the photo... also, if you went with the Die cut over the patch.... 95% of them would be damage in packing by the machines... also, you may have issues in production... I think acetate, when glued to either card board or another piece of acetate, would detach over time.... but I could be wrong. Very nice concept... I would imagine you need to have a copy right and working example before approaching the company as the idea could be stolen very easy and you would not profit from it at all.

not the greatest design but, this has the acetate covering with a hole cut out over the logo

as far as any problems, i dont think there would be. a few years ago, and maybe it is still done, upper deck had a set in ice that had the patch inside of the acetate and the player signed over it, so this has/is being done.

also, fleer did this in 02 with the player images printed directly onto the jumbo jersey fabric
