Is this patch fake?
There have been a ton of sweet patches coming out of this set, but I question what jersey this one could have come from. However, the seller doesn't seem to have any other fake looking patches for sale and doesn't seem to have sold any recently either.

Just saw this one as well. I guess they're from the Pro Bowls jerseys? But does it ever have the Chargers font type on the Pro Bowl jersey?

The first one is from the team name patch that the players wear on the front, the other patch is from the probowl patches they wear on the jerseys. Its consistent with other Gates patches from the set, which have all been pro bowl patches. The patches are also consistent with game worn pro bowl jerseys, both are real IMO.

Ahhhh. After a little research, I figured out the problem. The patch in this card is from the 2006 Pro Bowl jersey, which is not the uniform that Gates is pictured in on the card.

first looks real, the second one is definately questionable.

Yeah I would say that too, but the seller doesn't have any other questionable patches for sale or in his recent sales, so I don't know.

The jersey or patch that's used in the card isn't always the same as in the picture of the player, which you found out.
