    Huge set completion!!!

With today's mail, I have now finished the entire set of 1994 Stadium Club First Day Issues. It's a large set of 720 cards with only 2,000 of each card ever printed, making it one of the toughest sets that I will ever complete in my lifetime!

Whenever I find the cable that connects my digital camera to my computer, I'll be sure to add some pics to this thread.

Great job!! How long did it take to complete?? DId you start in 94 or was it something you undertook later on?

I started this set about 3 or 4 years ago. No real reason that I started it, other than I had a couple of the cards and thought it might be a neat set to complete, considering its rarity. It would have been much easier to complete had I done it back in 1994. I really had to hunt hard to get some of them.

As far as I know, there's only 1 other person with the complete set, and I bought a handful of mine from him. Other than him, I've never seen this set in its entirety, though I've seen a few other collectors with partial sets, but none close to completion.

Dude, that's a sweet set. I'd love to see a picture. I know those were hard to find back then, let alone now, when the stuff is 15 years old.

Here's some pics of some of the more valuable cards of this complete set. Thanks for looking.

Sure starting it in 94 would be great with the amount that was appearing at the time, but since you let the set sit for several years, it allowed for prices to stabilize, and the demand for some cards would have dropped. Imagine going after the McGwire or Sosa back in 98??!! I hope these were recent finds when the price was depressed on them. Plus all the "hot" rookies at the time, it allows for them to fall from grace and come back down in price. Of course it is risky if one goes of and becomes Derek Jeter. Did you ever estimate the cost it took you to put this collection together?
