WOW, that is all I can say. That is why it is getting harder to trust what is real and what is fake, I liked buying cards when it was hard to find autos and g/u now you can walk into any store and pull several autos or game-used on in one shot which is not bad because at least you know they are real. Companies need to have a way of doing this to make them tamper proof, back in the 90's Finest used a protective cover over the cards that could be removed. Well what if they made one similar for autos but if you remove it it destroys the face of the card and then for patch or jersey cards put something that does not allow them to change or alter the cards like a fine plastic seal over the top or something.

Agreed, that's an interesting Pujols article...I googled "Kevin Burge" and found this post, apparently he's a notorious faker

Thanks - good to know - I have found many fakes on E-Bay and now I can share them with this guy to help inform more people.

One example is the 06 T 279C Alex Gordon Error no image gold foil card - a very easy card to fake - and a couple of years ago was a hot card. I have seen 1 guy sell over 200 of these each under 2 diffrent names. Mostly 2 at a time. And many are still being sold now on E-Bay for 5 to 10 dollars ea. A guy right now has 6 sells in the last month.
You can tell the diffrence by the (R) register mark - it is curned or flattend R/L and the foil from the orignal is a sight diffrent color, last the Topps text is a little rounded from being scanned and reprinted. Tuff to tell on a E-Bay scan but easy in person when next to a A, B or D version of the same card.
