Again, with the mindset thing, I think there are a number of traders out there who look at trading as an opportunity to try and get more than you give. They have to "win" the trade as it were. When you're in it for yourself, and not to enjoy the experience, you can justify asking for a Crosby auto for a Larry Robinson auto and not see the blatant disregard in your request.

Can't agree more! Most traders like a fair trade, but I can think of a few people that try to "win the trade". Normally I don't mind if the trade is slightly in the other person's favour. However, there have been a couple of times I've noticed someone purposly trying to "win the trade" which has lead me to calling them out on it and letting them know that I am aware of their intentions. After calling out one guy a few months ago, he sent me a reply with a fair offer and basically admitted that he was trying to take advantage

So much of is it is fishing to see if you really know what its worth. I know when I'm trading to a guy who collects that player, he has a good idea of the market. Someone that has "Collecting Kings, Bernier & Dionne" in their sig, but tries to get any high end cards they can is usually fishing, too. Then on the cards under #/20, they get to match the value to whatever in your bucket they want.

No one asks about the cards in my PC, except once in a while the card in my avatar, when they are trying to pry it from my grasp.

But I can't recall a signle inquiry about the rest of my stuff, probably because they aren't GU or HOF autos, LOL.

I don't think I have anything on my hockey list that's been inquired about more than once. I guess that must mean nobody wants my cards... and/or that I usually am able to make a deal the first time it's requested.

Although, my Garrard/Campbell (football autograph) has been inquired about several times. It's ironic, b/c I just made a deal involving it today.
