    PLAYER NOTES
    (available at CBSSports.com)

--C Anze Kopitar had three assists, giving him a league-best 19 points for the season. Kopitar passed Washington's Alexander Ovechkin, who had one assist on Saturday and has 17 points for the season. Kopitar's big night came just two days after he recorded his first career hat trick in an overtime victory over Dallas. Kopitar has eight goals and 11 assists this season.

--C Jarret Stoll had two goals, his first two goals of the season, to go with six assists this season. Stoll had his first multi-point game of the season, after 12 multi-point games last season.

--LW Scott Parse made his NHL debut, and made it a good one with an assist on C Jarret Stoll's second goal. Parse played 10 minutes, 30 seconds, and recorded two hits the day after he was called up from Manchester of the American Hockey League.

--RW Dustin Brown scored two goals, coming off a two-assist game Thursday against Dallas. Brown has four goals in 11 games, coming off a 24-goal season last year.

--LW Rick Nash scored the 199th and 200th goals of his career Saturday in Anaheim. He has played in 450 NHL games.

--D Mike Commodore made his season debut on Saturday in Anaheim. He missed the first eight games because of a groin injury suffered late in training camp.

--D Jan Hejda could return much sooner than expected, according to Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson. Hejda was expected to be out of the lineup until mid- to late November when he sprained his left knee on Oct. 13 vs. Calgary. But Hejda expects to begin skating early next week and could return by early November.

    SIDE NOTES/QUOTES
"It's nice to come in here and get a big two points. Big game tomorrow, again, at home, so we know how tough those games are, back to back. It's just a great team effort. We played OK. We didn't play great, but we played well enough to win." -- Kings winger Jarret Stoll.

"It's a big emotional lift for the guys. We fought hard to get control of this game, and it started to slip away from us again. To come out of here with a win, it's a big boost for everybody involved." -- Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock after a 6-4 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.

And end this GDT with a FROZEN MOMENT!!! ANZE KOPITAR WITH A HATTRICK
