Does anyone go to shows? I love them, especially my local scene.
For example: August Burns Red, Texas In July, This or The Apocalypse...

I just missed Metallica in Charlottesville, VA not too long ago. Had no idea they were in the area.

Unfortunately I live in the black hole of the music world. No decent bands play within 100 miles of me. At the state fair (about 2 miles from my house) the most exciting bands they have are Big & Rich or David Cook. No true metal, just rockabilly and radio rock.

I know what your saying umpy. Its amazing on how much a band changes from the original release to something 3-4 albums later.

I wish I was closer to something myself. Closest thing I can go to is either Twin Cities or Milwaukee. Both 4+ hours away.

I also suggest that if your a power/speed metal fan that everybody listen to The Skull Collectors by Hibria. Second album from this Brazilian band and it is GREAT
