Weird UD redemption issue...
A few weeks ago, I put in a redemption for a Mo Williams/Rajon Rondo Dual auto from SP Game Used at the UD redemption portal, it said the usual, waiting for athlete to sign or athlete committed to sign....
anyways, i checked in yesterday night (US morning) and it said Replacement will be issued???
I wrote to them through email asking about it, no response....
so I called in to their customer hotline and the guy said, we are issuing a replacement as a way to satisfy the redemption faster but could not issue me which card it would be, only that it will be of equal value. I told him I don't mind waiting, but he said, sorry your redemption has been processed and you should receive it in 2-3 weeks.
I hope they dont use beckett because inside it,
Mo Williams/Rajon Rondo is 25 bucks
but so is
Sasha Vujacic/Jordan Farmar..
too bad huh?

That's wierd, I'm waiting on the same exact card. Just checked the status, and it says:
Athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient.
It's been like that for months. Why would you be getting a replacement, yet mine it still is waiting to be signed. UD is so inconsistent.

yeah, I don't get it either. And I ain't happy bc I really could have used that Rondo/Williams in a trade somewhere.
But just fyi fzk, I read your post and called them up.
He said, oh, because you have an international address, we have decided to speed up the process. Then he went on to assure me that the replacement requested will be of equal value and that I will be very satisfied.
Then I gave him the example of Rondo/Williams being equal book value as Farman/Vujacic....he laughed and said, hey I am a fan of Farmar...but then continued on that he couldn't give me specifics...i gave up.

Redemptions should be illegal. They are basically selling a product they don´t own.

I have some outstanding redemptions also. A 2 year old Walt Bellamy and an Exquisite Oscar Robertson. I need both for sets I'm working on. Makes me wonder how "committed" the athletes are to signing.

UPDATE:
Doorbell rang and I had to sign for a package. I will get a snap of this in a bit after I finish some chores but UD's replacement finally arrived. The guy told me 2 1/2 weeks ago it was sent out but yet the postmark said shipped 4 days ago.
Anyways, the replacement for a Mo Williams/Rajon Rondo Multi Marks DUAL AUTOGRAPH is.......................drum roll!!!

I know their going to screw me on my Archie Manning auto i'm waiting on. I call them a few weeks ago to ask and they said they could send a replacement but i said i would wait. They never answer their e-mails, i have sent quite a few and never got 1 reply from them so i now just call.
