I'm the same way. I try to only check it in the morning, lunch, and before I go to bed. But honestly, I check it way more than that.
Congrats on the sales.

Good luck man. They will sell. I have been amazed how great it is. I think a lot of non die hard collectors buy on that site. You can usually get a little more than you would here.

Hey guys,
I was just curious if you factor in the "cash out" fee when making the decision to sell on this site. I researched evrything about them and was intrigued to send in a promo order but was stopped in my intention by realizing that they want 20 % of your sales when requesting a payout. If this isn't a bother to you then I suppose you're saying that the value to sell at is at a price point to negate considering this as an issue? Obviously I wouldn't want to leave my money in there possession forever. Plus, what's the recourse if they suddenly dropped off the map and went out of business?
Thanks for having this thread.

I haven't figured out the 20% thing yet, mostly because I'm looking to roll the cards into either boxes from Blowoutcards or to flip cards directly on the site.
I haven't looked into the "what if they drop off the face of the earth" scenario either. But it does comfort me that they are accreditted by the Better Business Bureau. I'm sure that they'll take care of me/us, even if it means that we have to send them a self addressed stamped package to return my unsold cards to me.

Brian, ive given this much thought, and heres a bit of how i look at it... the 20% is actually a small price to pay when you think about it. With all the fees possible with selling else where, ebay listing and final value fees, paypal fees, packaging fees (envelopes etc) post office trips, and whatever else... and to prevent all that, all you have to do is sell $60 bucks worth to get $50... to me having to sell an extra $10 bucks worth far outways the other things involved with selling elsewhere. I no longer have to worry about buying envelopes... If you were to sell a card for $1-2 bucks, your talkin 20% of the cards worth just to package it! So yeah in some cases you may think the 20% seems like a lot, but really in most cases the 20% is a small price to pay!
As for your concerns about the site goin under... I would say thats about a snowballs chance in hell that thats gonna happen. Have you seen the projected quarterly earnings on there blog? every quarter since 2007 when they started theyve grown! I think the people who have 100-200k in book value with the site, would be the ones to worry not us who have like $1500 in book value. I feel like i have nothing to worry about!
From the outside i can see how anyone not a member would be concerned... but after getting my feet wet, and selling some cards, and what i feel like if anything ive been missin out.
Not to mention the key factor for me, when i list a card on ebay for .99 and it sells for .99 between paypal, ebay, shipping, etc... my .99 is down to next to nothin. Therefor basically negating the option of selling something for .99 cents on ebay. If i were to sell 500 cards on comc for $1 each i would have $500 bucks!! yeah i would only be able to cash out $400, but i could buy $500 worth of cards too... so for my 500 - $1 cards i now actually get something rather than giving them away on ebay!!
btw, im up to $141

I agree with everything travl said. I emailed them when I was first starting and asked them what would happen if they went under.
They said that they would package up everyone's cards and send them back for free. I saved the email.
I'm up to 120 dollars with 315 items left in my inventory, plus another 125 on the way! Did eight weeks on that order.

My sales are going nicely too and I have a huge lot of basketball that is to be up by Friday. I took advantage of their black friday deal. I also sent in a ton of baseball and football and did priority on those. I did 8 weeks on the first deal which required an awful lot of patience and this time decided I just wanted them up and listed.
I'm still checking my dashboard at least 5 times a day like an insane person. I have a career where I make over $45/hr but get giddy like a school girl anytime I get a .25 sale. What a dork.

Thanks fellas! I had a good impression the first time I heard and looked at the site.
It makes sense to calculate all the time invested in researching, listing, scanning, and packaging. All that is what the 20 % covers. Then you figure that cards may sell for better value than elsewhere so that 20 % is getting less. I may try the site out afterall but probably will first email them personally about the issue regarding the possibility of going under.
They have put together an awesome concept and I see potential there as the number of unique sellers is relatively small. Something tells me it's worth a shot.

Are you guys selling out collections over at this site? :)
Keep us updated, especially on "Black Friday" sales. I'm still gathering up info and looking for and through inventory.
