So I Started Playing Guitar

... a dream of mine. i always wanted to make it big playing the guitar.

so my dad has an acoustic, perfect condition, he only used it a few times back in the 70's/80's. has a case/picks/etc.
i'm taking lessons at the local music store from a man who is a bass player, but teachers guitar.

i know a few things so far. i've been playing for about 3 or 4 weeks and i can play Wanted Dead Or Alive, Wish You Were Here, the opening to Wonderwall, and the opening to Back in Black.

i'm purchasing an electric i have my eye on very soon.
any other guitar players around my skill level or started recently?

I have an acoustic and really want to learn to play but I don't have that much time because of school and work. I've played around on it with a couple chords but can't really play anything. This summer though i'm definitely taking lessons or something because I really want to learn

Ditto, I'm in a band and do vocals. I want to play guitar, but I also have to put school, work, and writing my lyrics first... So it just seems I don't have the time for it.

well it's very easy if you put your mind to it. i mean, i learned Wish You Were Here by Floyd on acoustic in like 45 minutes thursday night..

I used to play...wasn't very good, but I knew the basics...at some point, I may try to learn more than I knew then.
