09-10 Ultra Ice Medallion Redemption...
Playing around on ebay and I won this 09-10 Ice Medallion Redemption on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
(if that link doesn't work it's Item 160368553819)
I am a bit worried about foul-play (for example if it has already been redeemed if that is even possible yet) because I have never bid on Redemption cards before and it was kind of spur-of-the-moment....I only paid $1.75 where similar cards were selling for $30-50...the low price I paid has me concerned.
There is not much description and it sends me to the same card on another bid which seemed kind of strange unless the person did not have access to a scanner...I sure hope I'm not ordering a previously-redeemed card...Last edited by gfel2795; 10-17-2009 at 09:51 AM.

It's possible, but sellers playing that game will usually put that in really small print somewhere in the description. The lack of description may have been what turned off bidders, and why you got it for so little?
Hope you got the one that's been unredeemed. Good luck.

Got it today...good news: Unredeemed/unscratched. Bad News: Not ice medallion but a regular.
How should I go about leaving feedback? I saw regular ones selling for $7-10 so I don't feel that bad but it's still kinda wrong that it was advertised as an "Ice Medallion /25...

It is a misrepresentation of the card. You had every reason to believe you were getting an Ice Medallion and you got a regular version that'll be worth a fraction of the Ice. That merits at least an email to get an explanation, and if he doesn't make up for it hit him with a negative.

RGM beat me too it :) You deserve an explanation. I'd hold off the negative for now, and give him a chance to fix it. I wouldn't be pleased with a complete misrepresentation of what the card actually is though.

I agree it was negligent. It was this person's only hockey card on the site so the excuse will probably be "I don't know what I'm doing I thought that's what it was"
I had a situation a while back where I was auctioning off 2 71 Topps baseball lots and mailed the second one instead of the first one which was a complete misrepresentation (different players than expected from the same set). I emailed the guy and he was cool with them and left me PF. I believe in the whole what goes around comes around thing so I'm gonna email and voice my concern. I'm okay with it though.

Well stated...so much that I went ahead and copy-paste-edited it.
Hi there,
Your auction was a misrepresentation of the card. What you sold me was a regular Rookie redemption which is not the Ice Medallion /25 redemption that you had outlined in your description. I believed I was getting an Ice Medallion and what you sent was a regular version that will be worth a fraction of the Ice. Can I have an explanation at your earliest convenience before I go ahead with leaving feedback?
Thanks,
Greg
Couldn't have said it better myself !! Let's see what they come back with. I'm sure it's an "I don't really know what I'm doing w/hockey cards". I just got one of these last month with another misrepresentation that set me back $70.

Worked out pretty well...got refunded the $1.75 and only paid the $2.50 shipping for what turns out to be the Evander Kane RC regular Redemption. It'll do just fine in my RC collection.
