CHIT-CHAT FF: Week 12 Wrap
WEEK 12 WRAP
One week to go! Crunch time people...either you got it or you don't...your mommas can't help you now...this is what it all comes down to...*insert random motivational cliche here*
Recap of the Match ups
Novacaine @ Victors - This game wasn't pretty to anyone but the Novacaine. Not only did Matt Ryan go down so early he gave the Victors 0 points, but he won't be back next week, so they'll have to choose between the rookies to find a replacement...and right at playoff time! The Holy Rollers get solid play all around and didn't even need the 30 points chipped in on MNF. The Victors take home their first Worst Loss of the Week trophy and hope this didn't kill their championship hopes. The Novacaine hosts the 6-6 Truckers next week and the Victors take on streaking That Thing.
Blunts @ Stratusfaction - Let's see...Kevin Faulk v. Randy Moss and Marques Colston on MNF...I know, it seems pretty even on paper, but Moss and Colston ran away with it for the Blunts. Philly sits at #2 in the league now, but LA has lost 4 straight to fall to 6-6 and the championship hopes have turned into simply playoff hopes. The Blunts match up with Ash's Hellbillies and the Stratusfaction goes up against • PABS!!!, another losing streak trying to play their way in.
Pillagers @ Ramrod - It looked like a runaway with Ramrod playing Tom Brady on MNF...but Pretty Boy Tom posted his worst fantasy game of the year with only 7 points. Still enough for the win! Ramrod moves to the tops of the league at 8-4 and hopes to hold on to the #1 seed against The 'Horns next week. The Pope has lost 3 in a row and has all but played themselves out of the playoffs.
EFFECT!! @ That Thing - Chris Johnson is still on his horse for the Truckers, but Ric Flair's team has found their rhythm, with Favre and Driver posting their best games of the year and Miles Austin returning to prominence....but it's too little too late for That Thing. The Truckers drop back to 6-6 and has to play Novacaine next week.
Hellbillies @ • PABS!!! - The Hellbillies bench would have beat have the teams on Sunday...and they had even more points in the game. 95 points on the bench easily brings home the Bench of the Week award for Coach Ash and 110 in the game brings home a W. • PABS!!! dropped it's third straight, falls back to 6-6, and is in danger of missing the playoffs.
Dwarves @ 'Horns - The 'Horns have an 18 point lead going in to MNF and Devery Henderson puts up 17 points...but the Dwarves have Drew Brees, not to mention Welker and the Saints D/ST. I feel your pain Shawn, I had to watch Brees tear me apart (and possibly ruin my playoff hopes) in another league. Ryan Longwell brings home his second K of the Week trophy...Akers matched him for The 'Horns, but to the winner go the spoils! To even it out, Jason Snelling also gets the Dwarves the Worst Start of the Week trophy. The Dwarves have won 2 in a row to set themselves up nicely for the playoffs and the 'Horns have lost 2 in a row to work their way out.
If the playoffs started today...
The seeds would be:
#1 - Team Ramrod
#2 - Holy Roller Novacaine
#3 - Philly Blunts
#4 - RI The 11 Dwarves
#5 - Hail to the Victors
#6 - Los Angeles Stratusfaction
Ramrod stays #1, Novacaine and Blunts move themselves up from #4 and #6, and the Dwarves move themselves in while the Truckers move themselves out. Ramrod is still the only team that has clinched a playoff spot, but the Novacaine, Blunts, Dwarves, and Victors would have to lose and lose a lot of ground in the total points to drop out. If those four win, they're in. There's a tight race for the #6 seed, with Stratusfaction, Effect, and • PABS!!! duking it out. Stratusfaction has the edge, having beat both of the other two in regular season play. If they win, they're in thanks to that. The Truckers need to win and have LA lose. • PABS!!! needs to win and have the other two lose to get in, as they've lost to each and give up the tie breaker. • PABS!!! and Stratusfaction play each other, so that game could very well decide the #6 seed. Since those two play each other, one of the 6-6 teams will get in, which means the 5-7 teams have no chance.

I'm out for revenge in week 13.
2nd highest scoring team = second best team = me. Yeah, I like that.
Consider yourself grateful you won't see me in the playoffs.

You just need a better defense Ash! Let people score too many against ya. I know that's frustrating, I'm dealing with that in another league. That's why you play the games though. If PABS and Stratusfaction weren't playing each other, you would still have an outside shot.

I'm just amazed that i'm on a 4 game losing streak. And it comes down to the last week to make the playoffs.
All i have to do is win. I control my own destiny lol

I've learned it's all about getting hot at the right time. Last year in my for cards league, I started 2-5, then went 7-2 to sneak into the playoffs and win the championship. And in my money league, two of the last three years, the champion had a losing regular season record. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a team dominate the regular season and then go on to win the championship.

I'll let you know how that works out here in a few more weeks. In my other league I run I was am 10-2 right now. Lost my 2nd game last night. I've already secured a 1st round bye and a playoff spot. Let's see if my team can keep it up or if my 10-2 run was the best they had!
that team is ..
QB- Brady, Cutler
RB - MJD, Ray Rice, DWill, J Stewart, Donald Brown
WR - DeSean Jackson, Boldin, OchoStinko, Harvin, Wallace
TE - Shockey
K - who cares
DB - McGowan, Bethea, Delmas
DL - Peppers, Orakpo
LB - David Harris, Cushing, DJ Williams

In my past 3 years, the team that won the championships in my league were the top 2 teams all the time.
They either had 1 or 2 losses

Yeah I'm 9-3 in another league...just lost my 3rd game two weeks ago to the only winless team...ticked me off. But I've scored the most points in the league by over 100, should have a 1 or 2 seed at worst (only 4 teams in). I'm hoping I prove my theory wrong as well.
