Jagr deal apparently a no go
Rumour was the Rangers and Caps came to a deal that looked like this.
To Rangers-Nedved,Barnaby,Lundmark
To Caps-Jagr
But TSN has reported that the teams haven't even spoken to one another.

Gez... Lundmark the only non-former Pen. I heard Washington was trying to deal Jags and to the Rangers, but I didn't hear for who. I'd definitely do that if I were Washington.

salaries aside i would NOT do that deal. barnaby is terrible, nedved has no drive or passion, and lundmark is so far a flop. jagr is still a good player but pittsburgh was the best place he could play. he just doesnt fit in anywhere else as much as he did in pittsburgh. this rumor was in the new york times:
CAPS OFFER JAGR TO DUCKS FOR 9TH ROUND PICK
that is purely a salary dumping move but i still dont believe it

Well Anahiem could probably afford that with all the unexpected money they got this past season. But people are saying Selanne is going back there so could they afford both?

they probably could afford both (hell disney owns them). but the ducks are frugal and will not want to pay both players. im actually hoping for a selanne kariya reunion
