Politi: Martin Brodeur may be Canadian hockey royalty, but he's an American now
He vowed to defend the U.S. Constitution, presumably against enemy skaters. He promised to bear arms on behalf of his new country, although there is no clause to compel him to wield his stick and glove for national pride at the Winter Olympics this February.
In the hockey world, Brodeur will remain a member of Team Canada. But he is a U.S. citizen now, just like the mother of two from Ghana who took the citizenship test after he did, just like the hundreds of other immigrants who also took that oath — oblivious that the hockey star had just done it, too.

Probably, although he did say that all of his kids were born here, which automatically makes them US citizens. This also nixes the whole work permit thing as well.
