Selling question

Hi all i'm fairly new to the site with just a simple question. I may be looking to sell my sportscards collection. I was wondering what would be the best way to sell about a million cards?

50% baseball
30% Football
19% basketball
1% Hockey

I have about 250K of commons that I purchased 15 yrs ago that I never even looked at.

This would not be a quick and easy adventure. It would take personal research, all in all depending your seriousness, and other factors of needing money at a certain time.

I'd first off point you to research card player, type, year on eBay for a guage. This would be mainly good for known rookies, vintage, rare issues, anything that may look appealing or stands out I'd suppose.

It's tough to say with a definitive response which way to start but there's something to give a shot. Your knowledge and experience of sports cards comes into the equation too.

Let me clarify a little. I am only selling common cards. I have a seperate collection of cards that i will keep. I often concentrated on buying/collecting rookies and inserts only, once I built my primary collection. I am looking on suggestions as to should I list the collection as a whole or sell them off at 50,000 card lots?

If you are talking about commons from the late 80s-early 90s, just get rid of them. Do whatever it takes. Your time and space in your house/shed/closet is probably worth more.

i agree, you will pay more in shipping than what its worth to sell them.
If you are just wanting to make space. Donate them. There are unfortunate children out there that would love to have them.

LOL. Unfortunate kids need to make their bikes sound like motor cycles too.

Seriously though, organize them if you haven't already done so. Sportbuys.com lets you list individual cards for free. Ebay you could do lots at auction. After you've tried that, donation of the 90's cards would be the easiest way to get rid of them.
